What we collect

Email address — collected when you subscribe to the newsletter. This is the only personal information we store.

Basic analytics — our email provider (Brevo) records standard email metrics (opens, clicks) to help us understand what content is useful. We do not use tracking pixels on the website itself.

How we use your data

  • To send you the daily AI tech digest you subscribed to
  • To improve the content and format of each issue based on aggregate engagement

We do not sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties. We do not send promotional emails from other companies.

Where your data is stored

Your email address is stored by Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), our email delivery provider. Brevo is GDPR-compliant and stores data in the EU. Our website and API are hosted on Fly.io in London (LHR).

Cookies

The recall.ac website does not use cookies or local storage for tracking. No third-party analytics scripts are loaded.

Your rights

You can at any time:

  • Unsubscribe using the link at the bottom of every issue
  • Request deletion of your data by emailing hello@recall.ac
  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you

Under GDPR, UK GDPR, and similar regulations, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. We will respond to any such request within 30 days.

Data retention

Your email address is retained for as long as you remain subscribed. When you unsubscribe, your email is removed from our mailing list. We may retain anonymised, aggregate analytics data indefinitely.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted in the newsletter. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
